A complete auto insurance policy is made up of the following:
- Liability coverage
- Vehicle coverage
- Medical coverage
Our agents are here to assist you in determining the amount of coverage that best suits your needs and budget.
Liability insurance covers bodily injury and property damage to others when you have been involved in an accident. It does not cover your own injuries or property damage.
It is required by law that any vehicle registered in the State of Connecticut be covered by liability insurance. The minimum limits of liability required follow:
- $25,000 bodily injury per person
- $50,000 bodily injury per accident
- $25,000 property damage per accident
There are options available to provide coverage for your vehicle should it become damaged.
Comprehensive Coverage (Other than Collision) can pay up to the fair market value of your vehicle should it become damaged in a way that is unrelated to a collision, such as theft, vandalism, flood or fire.
If your vehicle is financed, this type of coverage may be required by your lender.
Collision Coverage pays for damages to your vehicle caused by a traffic accident, up to its fair market value.
Rental Reimbursement and Roadside Assistance coverages are also options available under vehicle coverages.
Coverage is available to protect you and/or your passengers should you become injured in an accident.
Purchasing this coverage will also protect you should you be hit by a vehicle as a pedestrian or while on your bicycle. This coverage varies by company so it is important to discuss the options with your agent.
