Workers Compensation provides coverage for employees who are injured on the job or contract diseases related to the execution of their work. In most cases, provision of workers compensation coverage by businesses to their employees is mandated by the state.
These policies provide disability income benefits, medical benefits and rehabilitation benefits for employees injured performing duties within the scope of their jobs. These coverages may be extended to the employee’s dependents based on the nature of the injury.
Employer’s Liability provides the same types of coverage but for employees who are injured while performing duties outside the regular scope of their employment.
